Overview

Nigeria's health system has been evolving over the years through various healthcare reforms aiming toaddress different public health challengesconfronting it but poor health outcomes, poorservice delivery, low service availability and lack ofsocial and financial protection persist throughoutthe country.

The National Health Act was enacted in 2014, officially recognizes the Nigerians' right tohealth and through the National Health Act, the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund provides financial resources to improve the primary healthcare.

It has the potential to fuel dramatic public health improvements and rapid progress towards theattainment of Universal health Coverage. A good healthcare system must provide comprehensive, coordinated, quality and equitablecare and it is in the pursuit of these performancegains that the system must act and ensuetransformative and innovative processes includinguse of technology which has the potential tointegrate complex information from many differentsources and challenge the status quo.

This is a must attend event for all healthcare professions who seek to gain unique and novel insight into the latest best practice that is encouraging continuous improvement of quality and safety in healthcare, across West Africa.
